History
- In 2008, Swissco Ltd and its Swiss partner started cooperation with BIOTECH OPHTHALMIC, a company previously specializing in the production of contact lenses, known for their high quality. Thanks to the ability to produce thin filters with hyaluronic acid with the necessary molecular weight for this purpose, BIOTECH OPHTHALMICS from the very beginning was perfectly familiar with the methods of obtaining preparations for orthopedic purposes with high molecular weight hyaluronic acid.
- In May 2009, the first product BIOVISC ORTHO 2ML was introduced for sale in Poland and Switzerland.
- In 2010, the second product BIOVISC ORTHO 3ML was launched.
- In 2012, in order to guarantee even higher quality of the product, which also affects patient safety and the comfort of using BIOVISC ORTHO preparations, cooperation was established with the Swiss laboratory AMICROLAB. The task of the new Swissco Ltd partner was to test products for sterility and additional, new sterilization methods and endotoxicity. Thanks to this, all Biovisc Ortho products are of Swiss quality.
- In 2013, Swissco Ltd introduces further products BIOVISC ORTHO PLUS and the innovative BIOVISC ORTHO M and BIOVISC ORTHO SINGLE.
